Employee Picnic / Rail Fair
July 5th, 1971
Allow me to take this moment to express my sincere appreciation for your hard
work and diligence to safety this year, and to let you know that the American
Association of Railroads has ranked us 5th, among Class 2 railroads nationwide,
for quality of service, revenue growth, and track maintenance.
We are also ranked number 2 in safety, and number 1 in customer
satisfaction! None of this would be
possible without your efforts. In appreciation, allow me to extend an invitation
to you and your families to the first annual Moose Valley summer picnic. We will
have hot dogs and hamburgers on the grill, and the railroad will host
excursions, and the first annual "Rail Fair". Rail Fair will be held
at Hermann-Beers Yard, and will feature locomotives and unusual rolling stock
from other railroads, as well as photo-freights, and unlimited operations. This
will all take place Saturday, July 21st, beginning at 2:00pm. Come
when you wish, and come as you are. No
regular trains will be scheduled so all employees may attend.
Regards,
