Hillside Junction, Pennsylvania

Hillside Junction is the point where the Mainline Subdivision and the North end of the Potomac Subdivision meet.  The junction is controlled by the operator at the tower of the same name.  Crews often confuse this location with Pennatmiller, which is just a few hundred feet south.  Pennatmiller is the name given to the signals that protect the southern approach to Hillside Junction.  The Hillside Junction area was recently involved in a wreck which was documented.  This photograph shows the junction area.
