Note About Former Railroad Employee Records: The Western Maryland Railway Historical Society does not have access to or maintain in its archives employee records from the WMRY or any of its predecessors including the West Virginia Central & Pittsburg Railway and the Cumberland & Pennsylvania Railroad. The U.S. Railroad Retirement Board web site might prove useful to those in search of employee records. The RRB was not formed until 1936 and their records do not go back prior to that. We do have some seniority rosters, but the only information provided in those rosters is nothing more than a last name with initials, date of hire/seniority and job such as engineer/fireman, conductor/brakeman etc.
